Halve Pages

Halving pages cuts each page of a PDF into two, which is especially valuable for architects, engineers and designers who receive large A3 drawings that need to be split into two A4 sheets for standard printing.

ColaPDF splits each page down the middle — vertically or horizontally — and produces a new document with twice as many pages. The whole process runs in your browser, so large technical drawings never leave your machine.

How it works

  1. Upload your PDF file
  2. Choose cut direction — Vertical (left/right) for A3 landscape to A4 portrait, or Horizontal (top/bottom) for A3 portrait to A4 landscape
  3. Click Cut Pages in Half
  4. Download the result — each original page becomes two half-pages

Tips

Frequently asked questions

Does this work for A3 to A4 conversion?

Yes. A3 landscape pages cut vertically produce two A4 portrait pages. A3 portrait pages cut horizontally produce two A4 landscape pages.

Is the content reflowed or repositioned?

No. The page is literally cut in half — no text reflow occurs. Make sure your content is positioned accordingly in the original.

Are files uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser.

Can I choose which pages to halve?

Currently all pages are halved. Per-page selection is coming soon.
