ColaPDF ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our website at colapdf.com.
All PDF and image processing on ColaPDF happens entirely inside your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers — we have no technical ability to see, store or access your documents. The only data we handle is anonymous usage analytics and advertising data described below.
When you use any tool on ColaPDF, your files are read and processed locally by JavaScript in your browser. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party. When you close the tab, any file data held in memory is discarded by the browser.
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site — which tools are popular, what browsers people use, and how people navigate the pages. Microsoft Clarity may record anonymized session interactions (such as clicks and scrolling) and produce heatmaps to help us improve usability. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally, and is never linked to the contents of your files.
ColaPDF uses your browser's local storage to remember small preferences, such as your chosen language and recently used tools. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. We also use cookies for analytics and advertising as described below; you control these through the consent banner shown on your first visit.
ColaPDF is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This advertising data is collected and processed by Google, not by ColaPDF.
Advertising and analytics cookies are denied by default until you accept them through the cookie banner, in line with Google Consent Mode v2 and the GDPR. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through Google Ads Settings.
Apart from Google Analytics, Google AdSense and Microsoft Clarity, ColaPDF loads web fonts from Google Fonts. These services have their own privacy policies. We do not share personal information with them beyond what is technically necessary to load the resource.
Because we do not store your files or personal data on our servers, there is no retention period applicable to your documents. Local storage data on your device can be cleared by you at any time through your browser settings.
ColaPDF is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, the CCPA, or other privacy laws — including the right to access, correct or delete personal data, and to withdraw consent. Since we do not collect personal data from your documents, these rights mainly concern analytics and advertising data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
